CLEVELAND HEIGHTS WELCOMES NEW MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH, 1/3/2018 - The City of Cleveland Heights swore in four newly elected City Council members at last night’s Council Meeting. Reelected to the Council are Jason Stein, Cheryl Stephens and Melissa Yasinow. Elected to his first full-term is Michael Ungar.
In addition to the swearing in of the council members, a new president of the council, who serves as mayor, and a new vice president of the council, who serves as vice mayor, were selected. Carol Roe, a nearly 40-year resident of Cleveland Heights and a two-year incumbent to the Council was elected by the Council to serve a two-year term as mayor. Elected to serve as vice mayor for a two-year term is Melissa Yasinow, who has been on the City Council for four years.
Also sworn in last night was James J. Costello as Cleveland Heights Municipal Judge.
