Recreation Advisory Board

Purpose

The Recreation Advisory Board shall have as its purpose to act in an advisory and consultative capacity to Council in the area of recreation.

Rules & Regulations

Consisting of eleven (11) members, all of whom shall be residents of the City. Permanent members of such Board shall be the Chairman of the Council Committee having jurisdiction of the subject matter thereof or a member of that Committee, a member of the Board of Education of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District or its designee, and a member of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Library Board or its designee. The remaining eight (8) members of such Board shall be citizen members appointed by Council for four year terms; provided, however, that all Board members in office as of the effective date of this section may finish the terms for which they were originally appointed. The citizen members of the Board shall serve no more than two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms or a total of eight (8) consecutive years, with the exception of those Board members in office as of the effective date of this section who have served less than one (1) full term, who shall be eligible for reappointment to serve one (1) additional four (4) year term.
