COVID RELIEF GRANTS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Cleveland Heights Announces COVID Grants for Small Businesses

The City of Cleveland Heights has allocated grant funds (provided by the CARES Act) for small businesses impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic. The Cleveland Heights Small Business Relief Grant Program is making funding available to eligible for-profit small businesses with a brick and mortar location in Cleveland Heights with 25 or fewer employees in the form of grants up to $3,000. Businesses must be open unless prohibited by current public health orders. Eligible costs incurred between March 22, 2020 and the date on the application include:

  • Mortgage or rent payments for business premises
  • Utility payments for business premises
  • Personal protective equipment to protect employees and customers
  • Expenses incurred to provide physical barriers or promote social distancing

The program will open for applications beginning Tuesday, November 10 at 10am. Cleveland Heights businesses are encouraged to complete the application as soon as possible since funds are limited.

Applicants will be asked to provide documentation of eligible businesses costs incurred as an attachment, description/documentation of loss of revenue or increased costs as a result of the pandemic, and the business’ most recently filed federal or State of Ohio tax return. 

As part of the application process, you will be required to submit a W9 form in order to receive a payment. Please use this link to a blank W9 form that can be completed ahead of time and uploaded once the application opens.
