CEDAR - LEE
The Cedar Lee commercial district, which covers a one-mile stretch of Lee Road from Superior to Dellwood, is home to more than 150 businesses operating in the area. The neighborhood is also home to several institutions, including the Cleveland Heights - University Heights Main Library, Cain Park, Cleveland Heights High School.

Businesses in this district are as unique as the residents of the neighborhood it serves. Some have been in the same location for decades, serving the third or fourth generation of families. Other businesses are new to the area, but fit in as old friends. Visitors can meet virtually all of their shopping, entertainment, dining and service needs with one visit to Cedar Lee.

Entertainment and Dining
One of the district's anchors, the Cedar Lee Theatre, is celebrated as one of the finest cinemas throughout the Greater Cleveland area. It has drawn moviegoers since it first opened in 1925. The original theater had only one screen, but today it is comprised of two buildings housing four theaters and two screening rooms.

Visitors to the Cedar Lee neighborhood can choose from a wide selection of delicious foods at any of the dozen or more dining establishments in the area, many of which are recognized as the finest in the Cleveland area. The well-known Cleveland Heights tavern, the Charles Stewart Parnell, recently doubled in size. You'll also find vegetarian to barbecue, burgers to fresh seafood, Mexican and Thai to Chinese. In fact, the Cedar Lee area is known as Cleveland's restaurant row! A recent addition to the area is Zagara's Marketplace, a unique grocery store boasting everything from sushi and baked pizzas to fresh flowers and an in-house caterer.

There is much more to Cedar Lee than dining and entertainment. Also on the street is Heights Arts, a contemporary community gallery and a project of the HeightsArts. In addition, the hardware store, dry cleaners, beauty and barbershops, pharmacies and service stations are neighborhood gathering places where often you are known by name. Candy from Mitchell's has been the highlight in many a holiday basket. Residents have relied on the Hann family for plumbing and heating repair since 1906. Revive is a unique and welcome addition to Cedar Lee. An independent boutique offer fair trade products for men, women, children and home, Revive offers products that are eco-friendly and made of recycled, organic and sustainable materials.

There are many fine retail establishments in the district offering a wide array of merchandise. The Cedar Lee area offers professional services such as accountants, attorneys, counselors, Realtors, doctors and dentists. In addition, the Atma Center - a holistic health center - opened, offering a variety of classes in yoga. The Atma Center joins a Chinese herbalist in offering a less traditional approach to health care.
