This division meets the needs of Cleveland Heights residents by offering numerous general recreation and sports activities including baseball, basketball, softball, ice hockey, field hockey, ice skating, speedskating, swimming pool programs, general recreation activities and more. Parks and Recreation also manages most activity at the Cleveland Heights Community Center, located at One Monticello Boulevard at Mayfield Road, including the facility's fitness center, basketball courts, track and ice rinks.
The City's Youth Recreation Fund offers scholarships on selected Cleveland Heights recreation activities to residents who meet income guidelines (those applying must provide proof of residency and documentation of restricted income). Programs and activities included through this fund include sports camps, sports leagues, swimming, ice skating and more. It is the goal of the Youth Recreation Fund to provide assistance to all who apply; however, all requests are subject to available funding. Call 216-691-7373 for more information or an application.
Donations to the Youth Recreation Fund are welcome and are tax deductible. You may donate to the general scholarship fund or to a specific activity. Checks should be made payable to the City of Cleveland Heights Youth Recreation Fund and mailed to: Youth Recreation Fund, City of Cleveland Heights, 40 Severance Circle, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118.
