The Cedar Taylor area is one that is shared by two cities, Cleveland Heights and University Heights. Bremec On the Heights Garden Center, the only full service garden center in the area is located there. A variety of service businesses and retail stores are available for the area residents, including Mr. Brisket, who has been a stable in the district for over 40 years.
Café Tandoor serves award-winning Indian cuisine seven days a week and recently celebrated 25 years in the district. Melt Bar & Grilled, serving delicious grilled cheese and craft beer, has been an anchor since opening in 2010 at the corner of Cedar and Taylor Roads. A more recent addition has been Greedy Girl Restaurant, which specializes in both Indian and Greek food in a casual setting.
Business people in the Cedar Taylor business district created the Cedar Taylor Development Association (CTDA) with a mission "To promote Cedar Taylor as a viable neighborhood for businesses to succeed." The City of Cleveland Heights continues to work with the CTDA to grow this gateway district and has allocated CDBG funds to support improvements and initiatives in the district.
